Angel Koenig, M.Ed., LPC
Angel Koenig has dedicated her life to providing quality counseling services to those in need. Over the course of her career she has honed her skills in many different areas.
Angel earned her Master's degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas, ranked top 10 nationally in their graduate program. She served as a counselor for the Children's Advocacy Center of Denton County, where she provided quality services to children who were victims of crime and criminal trauma such as sexual abuse and violence. From there, she continued her career with Catholic Charities of Fort Worth as a Family Intervention Specialist where she provided parenting education and counseling. There she helped at-risk families reduce conflict and improve the parent-child relationship. During this time she also worked with Communities in Schools further honing her skills working with children and teens. Many of which faced common school-age issues such as bullying, self-harm and eating disorders. To further her experience in the much under-staffed area of addiction, she began working at The Right Step where she helped those battling addiction. Most recently she has completed EMDR training, an extensively-researched and proven therapy for those who have experienced trauma and loss.
Through all of this experience, she decided the only way to provide quality care for the largest demographic possible was to enter into private practice where she would not be bound to specializing in just one area or obligated to see only one cross section of clients.
