Sarah Tucker, PhD, NCC, RPT, Licensed Professional Counselor
“My approach to counseling is focused on authentic connection and supportive collaboration. When we work together, you can expect to sit across from someone who is dedicated to understanding who you are and supporting you in your unique process.”
Dr. Sarah Tucker is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, and Registered Play Therapist. She holds a PhD in Counseling from the top-ranked University of North Texas Counseling program. Sarah has varied clinical experiences across private practice, community agency, and school-based settings to support the needs of adult and child clients alike.
Sarah’s areas of clinical expertise in her work with adults include addressing the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on mental health in adulthood, trauma-processing and post-traumatic stress, and managing persistent anxiety. In her work with children and parents, Sarah utilizes the evidence-based approaches of child-centered play therapy (CCPT) and parent child-relationship therapy (CPRT). These therapies are developmentally responsive to the unique needs of children between the ages of 3 years and 10 years of age, and support in a wide rage of emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns.
Sarah strives to create a therapeutic relationship free from judgment and expectations, and believes it is within this relationship that individuals are able to openly explore their experiences and grow as a result.
