    Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who earned a bachelor’s degree at The University of North Texas in Human Development and Family Studies. She then earned a master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she studied human trafficking for a month in Romania and Hungary. She has experience working within the foster care system with adolescents/teens and with adults in community settings. Amanda also has experience working with HIV+ individuals. She is passionate about working with clients that have experienced abuse and neglect. She has provided services to individuals ages 12 and up.

    Using an Adlerian and Person-Centered theoretical approach, Amanda encourages a collaborative relationship and radical authenticity with each client. She facilities a warm and supportive environment to create lasting change. She believes change can occur when clients experience a judgement free relationship and work towards self-acceptance. She encourages and empowers clients to grow and reach their full potential. Amanda works individually with each client to obtain their desired treatment goals.
