Meet McKenzie Griffith, or Kenzie as many know her, a dedicated intern at Mindful Counseling. Kenzie specializes in working with individuals aged 12 and up, offering her expertise in counseling adolescents, adults, and groups alike. With a passion for expressive arts, mindfulness, and authenticity, Kenzie approaches each session with genuine care and unwavering support.
Kenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in counseling and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, slated for graduation in December 2024. With her dedication and expertise, Kenzie is committed to supporting you on your journey towards holistic well-being.

Outside the counseling room, Kenzie finds solace in the pages of a good book, crocheting and cherishes moments spent with loved ones. Her two adorable weenie dogs, Harper and Stella, bring joy and laughter to her life.

Kenzie's Counseling Approach

Using a humanistic, Person-Centered approach, she believes that each client hold the ability to explore and create change when offered a warm, empathetic space. Kenzie strives to create a collaborative space where the client knows best. She will use various modalities to help encourage growth, such as mindfulness and expressive arts. Kenzie sees clients 12 years and older, and practices from a neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming mindset. Every individual is welcome as they are.
