Madison Cepero

M.S., Licensed Professional Counselor

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.” – Carl Rogers.

Madison is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. While earning her degree, Madison worked at non-profit organizations with a variety of populations – victims of abuse, low-income families, and children on the autism spectrum. She began working in a private practice setting in 2020 and here she continues to work with individuals across the lifespan, 3 and up! Madison specializes in play therapy – the developmentally appropriate therapy for children 3-12. This work is what originally brought her into the counseling world and it has built the foundation for her work with teenagers and adults. She enjoys providing a space that fosters acceptance and exploration – encouraging clients of all ages to explore their inner child and early experiences.

Madison is also passionate about working with children and adults living with Type 1 Diabetes (and other chronic illnesses). She was diagnosed in adulthood in 2022 and can hold unique space for individuals and families who experience the overlap of physical and mental health difficulties.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.” – Carl Rogers.

Madison Approaches Counseling

from a humanistic perspective utilizing a Gestalt approach – this means she believes in each client’s innate ability to heal. She strives to provide a warm and curious environment with the aim of building self-awareness and exploring ways of interacting with the world that feel genuine.
