Amanda is a graduate intern at Mindful Counseling supporting adolescents (12-17) and adults ages 18 and up. She is passionate about working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, body image concerns and disordered eating, relationship concerns, and coping with major life transitions. She is LGBTQ+ affirming and holds a safe space for clients from all marginalized communities, including neurodivergent and BIPOC individuals. She takes a warm, client-focused approach, helping people explore their unique values, find meaning in their experiences, and grow in ways that feel authentic to them, while blending in modalities such as somatic practices, expressive arts, and Reiki. In her free time, she enjoys taking aerial hoop classes, baking, thrifting, and spending time with her two cats.
Amanda Hare holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UNT, with an expected graduation date of August 2026. She has worked with adult clients at the UNT Counseling and Human Development Center, supporting individuals in addressing personal challenges and fostering growth. Amanda has also gained experience in health promotion in higher education, guiding students in their wellness journeys and leading workshops on body image, self-care, and mental health. Additionally, she has facilitated peer-led support groups through the RISE Center at UNT, including Recovery Dharma and EveryBody, to support students navigating recovery from addiction and body image concerns. Amanda strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe to bring their whole selves, explore life’s challenges, and build self-acceptance, authenticity, and empowerment.
