Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT or Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy. The idea behind DBT is to teach clients how to regulate emotions, manage stress, and create healthy relationships with others. Unique to DBT is the idea of incorporating two opposite strategies, acceptance and change. DBT works to increase four main skills:
